Established in 2021 in downtown Walla Walla, WA, the Cotton Wool celebrates local, modern craft and its makers.

idea 1 - continued

So in these photos, similar style of weaving as the previous photos, but very different colors and different size.

I’m including them because:

  • the ratio is closer to what I would like to do for the fireplace. This piece has 12” wide panels on each side but is 72” in height. I think a piece with 8” wide panels with 48” - 60” height would work well.

  • the second photo and the video show how colors are building. In this weaving, the light blue is prominent and in the forefront and that tones down the fuchsia/teals and navy colors that are in it.

  • also, this piece has a strong pattern in the panels (the previous photos the yarn floats on top). this could be a fun option to play with if we decide to go this route.

Idea 1 - panels with floats
